Time flys when you’re having fun |
| Circuit 2009 flew by, and what a year it was! We did lots of new things including six shows at both Plantation and Tropical Park. We enjoyed all our old friends at Tropical and made many, many new friends at Plantation. Speaking of Plantation every single show (except Easter was a sellout) and had to have portables at 2 shows. The Plantation January show had record entries for that facility with 181 entries with NO TENT. The hunters were the stars of that show with HUGE classes in almost every division. That record didn’t stand for long, at the March show everyone showed up! We had a total 216 competitors with the Jumpers stealing the show. Don’t know how many in total but we had two divisions with over 35 riders and 19 in our $5000 Classic. Jumper ring went continuously from 8:00 AM till 10:15 PM. Heritage Horse Shows and our staff sincerely thanks each and every exhibitor, family and trainer for continuing to make “Our Party” the very best horse show experience available. We promise to do everything possible to keep the show up to the standards YOU have set! |
Team Challenge |
| Team challenge #1 was really a lot of fun with 29 teams. The champion team was Boy! Roll That Ace with Iyanna Marshall/Poster Boy, Dakota Freeman/Rollingwood’s Easy Rider, and Emily McLaughlin/Ace of Hearts. The Winter’s End team of Anna Koenig/Oliver Twist, Chris Bennings/Cinzano, and Anna Koenig/Cinzano claimed the reserve spot. Congratulations to all teams. Great Job! You can see all results on the web site. There will be Team Challenge #2 on May 22-23. Riders who were at the first challenge may keep the same teams, pick new teams, or just cheer for their favorites. |
Challenge and Finals |
| You have worked hard all year and now it is time to prove you are among the best at the “Finals and Challenge Show.” Horses in the Park’s 8th annual Hunter and Equitation finals show will be held at Tropical Park June 5 and 6. The Jumper Finals will be at Plantation on June 12 and 13. At the Hunter/Equitation Show, Saturday will be a regular show and on Sunday the real competition begins. There will be 17 challenge classes with nice perpetual trophies and a special presentation for each. In addition, we will hold 35 finals classes, each with special trophies. If you have never attended a Finals Show, don’t miss this one! This is a very special weekend and the only show where you can compete against EVERYONE from both shows! The Jumper finals are still being planned and details will be available soon. |
Celebration 2010 |
| It is time to celebrate! After all your hard work and accomplishments, Heritage would like to honor you at our banquet August 21. Enjoy great food, music, awards and company. We will be giving out circuit awards, perpetual trophies and special honor awards. The banquet will be held at the German-American Social Club at 6:30 PM. Tickets are on sale now at $40 per person until July 1 when tickets will be $45 per person. Also, we need division sponsors. If you, your business, or your barn want to sponsor awards while receiving advertising, this is a great chance. Division sponsors will receive a full-page ad in the program that can be used as an advertisement or a way to show off your kid’s accomplishments. You don’t want to miss this awesome party. |
