Unbelievable! |
| You did it again! We filled every single stall at PEC and had 10 exhibitors showing out of their trailers. Not only that, I had to clean 9 stalls for Julie and Becky. Thanks to you two guys for accommodating us. What makes it more impressive is that it was Mother’s Day. Hey Moms what better way to spend your day with your family and friends at a horse show. The weekend was even better because we finally had food and good food at that. We were all happy to see Sherri. She will prepare anything we want so if you have requests let me know. Thank you to everyone; trainers, riders, Sherri, and our staff. “Our Party” rocks” |
Team Challenge |
| As always the Team Challenge was a hit with everyone. Over forty teams competed in a hard fought battle. Congratulations to the riders from Coconut Palm. Two of their teams were Grand and Reserve Champions. |
Jumperland |
| The new jumper ring was busy, busy with 24 in beginning, 22 in hopeful, 21 in training, and 10 in low schooling. With these numbers you can imagine the competition was fierce and it was. Taking home the $165 first prize in the Beginning Classic we saw Danielle Cohen with Elliot reserve honors went to Nicole Liebowitz and Flying Colors. The hopeful was won by Becks with Jennifer Dachton up. Second place went to Be My Valentine and Anne Kaercher. The $275 first place check in the training classic was claimed by Kalie Butcher riding Do The Dew with the $165 runner up check going to Camille Romeu on her Peacemaker. And finally winning the low schooling was Nebraska and Manuel Diaz narrowly beating Blind Faith and Casey Bedard. Congratulations to everyone. Everyone seemed to enjoy our new jumps; I think more riders were afraid of the clown than horses. I have ideas for 2 new jumps and hopefully one will be ready for the June 21, 22 show. Speaking of that show, I realize quite a few of you have other options that weekend and we hope you pick Jump the Moon. |
Horses in the Park Challenge and Finals |
| And just like that another year is gone. On June 7, 8 we will be holding our 6th annual challenge and finals show. Saturday will be a regular show and then on Sunday everyone will move inside for our special classes If you are new to the show we have challenge classes in every division with major perpetual trophies. Each division also has an equitation and hunter finals class with take home trophies. If you normally show one day only this is the one show you must do 2 days. Jumper challenges will be held at JTM in December. Don’t miss this one! |
Celebration 2008 |
After finals there is only one thing left to do. Get your awards!! “Celebration 2008” will be held once again at the German American Social Club Saturday, August 16. Chef Tano will be catering and we are sure he will feed us well. As in past years we will be doing a fund raiser at the June show. This year it will be a silent auction. We are asking you to donate anything you may have that we can sell. It does not have to be equine related but anything you might sell at a yard sale. Banquet tickets and program ads will also be available. IF YOU HAVE A TROPHY FROM LAST YEAR PLEASE MAKE ARRANGEMENTS TO HAVE IT RETURNED FRIDAY.
