Sold Out! The Plantation Equestrian Center has been completely full only four times and three of those were Heritage Horse Shows. Not one single stall was empty for our January Horses in the Park/Jump The Moon and Clinic event. We even had 12 ship-ins. This group included guest exhibitors from Orlando, Tampa, and Palm Beach County. Our next combined show in Plantation will be March 1-2. This show sold out last year so make your stall reservations now.

Heritage Clinic Our weekend with Christina Schlusemeyer and Hillary Schlusemeyer-Simpson was both enjoyable and rewarding. We filled 92 of 96 slots in 16 sessions. All our riders, parents, and trainers enjoyed learning from one of America’s best trainers and riders. One of the highlights was Saturday night’s Q&A session. We enjoyed watching Christina’s students in the Medal Finals and Hillary riding in Grand Prix’s while we enjoyed a tremendous meal provided by Bonnie Navin and Navinshire Farm. Speaking of Bonnie, she is and always has been the best friend of HHS. She was completely responsible for arranging the Schlusemeyer clinic and is working very hard to arrange future sessions. This is a very difficult task as these people are very busy showing all over the country and matching their availability with our dates is not easy. Unfortunately, we had to cancel the April clinic with Nona Garson due to a switch in WEF dates which she will be showing in Palm Beach. Jimmy Torano stopped by the showgrounds on Friday night and assured us he would be happy to hold a clinic with us. We hope to have 4-6 per year.

Coming Up Our February Horses in the Park show is always the largest of the year. Make your plans to come out to Tropical on the 9th and 10th. I’m sure all of you got new clothes, tack, and etc. for Christmas so this is your chance to show it off. We would like to see more of you stay for Sunday’s show. |
