It was a good month! |

The Party |
Special thanks to Stephanie Angus for inviting us to have our party at her farm in the Ranches. Those who know Stephanie know that she is the best at hosting parties and we did our part to make this a great evening. We were greeted with lights everywhere, an open fireplace, and lots of good music produced by Shawn. After a bit of socializing we enjoyed a roasted pig with lot’s of good things to go along. Thanks to everyone who brought food (Lorena’s lasagna didn’t last long). Lauren and Shannon did their normal great job presenting our awards from the lighted stage (We can’t wait to see Mona’s “glamour shots” of the winners). Division trophy winning champions and reserves were Mona Straub, Nicole Steinman, Camille Romeu, Mari Waligunda, Cathy Bailey (2), Stephanie Angus, and Katherine Obert (2). The overall champions and receiving director’s chairs were: Professional rider-Stephanie Angus, Amateur rider-Camille Romeu, High point horse-Roxy owned by Nicole Steinman. Overall reserves and winners of jackets were: Professional Rider-Alvaro Lozada, Amateur rider-Cathy Bailey, horse-Peacemaker owned by Camille Romeu. Overall runner-ups and receiving gift certificates donated by Nathalie Obert and Equine World (thanks Nathalie): Professional rider-Tony Martinez, Amateur rider-Nicole Steinman, Horse-My Black Ferrari owned by Stephanie Angus and shown by Mari Waligunda. Congratulations to these and all our ribbon winners. Let’s do it again!!

Jump the Moon |
Our second show of the 2008 season was one of the best yet with 51 entries. Welcome to Camilla Gonzales and her group from Pico’s La Finca. and we were glad to see Diego’s riders back. AND OF COURSE thanks to all our regulars- YOU are the engine that keeps the bus going! Our entry base is now up to 183- what a good problem we would have if everyone showed up at once!

Horses in the Park |
| Once again, our best show of the season. On a gorgeous weekend, over 80 of you tested yours and your horse’s skills in some very nice classes. We were happy to be joined by Nancy Meyer and her riders from Winters End Farm and Lynn Buchalter and her group from Blue Water Farm, both from Broward. Welcome to our party! Also welcome to all our new exhibitors and thanks to our regulars, Hunting Horn, Tally Ho, Southwinds, Heavenly Acres, Coconut Palm, Reefside, and Dana Albury. If I missed anyone, thank you also. |
Coming up |
| March 1,2 we will invade Plantation Equestrian Center. Those of you who attended last year’s show will remember we share the facility with an antique car show with a DJ and lots of spectators. Last year this show was full so make your stall reservations early. At this time we only have a few stalls available. If stalls are sold out you may haul in to show, remember you must pay a $16 haul in fee (This is a City of Plantation rule not ours). Shavings We have included a shavings order form. You can fax this form to PEC before Thursday and shavings will be added to your show bill. If you elect to wait until check in you must pay PEC directly before they are delivered. JUMPERS Please note the early start time 10:00 Saturday and 9:00 Sunday. |
April Clinic |
Clinic Our next clinic will be held April 4,5,6 at PEC. Our clinicians will be Ann Thal from Aiken, South Carolina and Robert Robold of Merrit Island, Fl.
