Clinic with Robert Robold and Ann Thal in April
Ann Thal

Ann Thal

Based in Aiken, S.C., Ann Thal and her staff have produced numerous local, state and Zone champions in hunter, jumper and equitation divisions. Her students have qualified for the Marshall Sterling finals two years in a row, finishing in the top 20 in the country. Ann also trained a rider to a top ribbon in the Pony Equitation Finals as well as placing in the top five overall in the pony hunter division. In addition, Ann trained one of the top five-year-old jumpers in the Young Jumper Championship. Ann’s jumper, Cornelius, went on to become a top equitation horse in the Medal, Maclay and USET Finals. Ann has a strong and diverse background in both dressage and jumping and uses this to develop a strong foundation for her students.
Robert Robold

Robert Robold

Robert Robold, is a local resident that has lived in the Merritt Island area for 33 years. Robert has trained numerous champion horses and riders in both AHSA rated and local shows. His goal is to promote and provide quality instruction, exceptional horses and consistent training. Robert Robold has had the good fortune to qualify riders for National Finals and Pony Finals, in Equitation, Hunters and Jumpers. He has a natural ability to optimize the horse and rider combination with a strict program coupled with enthusiasm. A testament to Robert’s skill is that many of his riders who have been successful Junior riders have trained with him through their Amateur ranks.

“I have known Robert for 20+ years and have never met a professional who has maintained their honesty, integrity and talent and who treats every rider with equal attention. Never would you leave a ring after a lesson with Robert without taking away a laundry list of good advice and assistance. Moreover, Robert gives every horse, including one that may be tough to handle or train, equally the same and is able to find the missing link to develop that horse and rider combination. I am honored that Robert has the time to spend with us here at Heritage Horse Shows. You will be most pleased.”
